Arc de Triomphe is the center of 12 converging avenues making a large traffic round-about. Designed by Chalgrin. Completed 1836.
Initiated by Napolean in 1806. Louis XVIII dedicated it in 1823 to his armies returning from victory in Spain. It is the largest trimuphal arch in the world at 162" high, 146' wide.
